HOLIDAY MAKERS FUND WISHES FOR REALLY SICK KIDS IN NEW PARTNERSHIP

South East Queensland-based ULTIQA Hotels & Resorts has announced a two-year partnership with Make-A-WishÒ Australia, driven by bookings, memberships and holiday interest through both their retail and lifestyle business arms.

ULTIQA Hotels & Resorts will donate in excess of $100,000 to Make-A-Wish over the term, with further fundraising initiatives in place through its online accommodation booking engine and subsidiary group, ULTIQA Lifestyle – a points-based system holiday membership, bourgeoning the donations.

Chief Executive Officer of ULTIQA Hotels & Resorts, Mark Henry, expressed his and the company’s pride in partnering with the charity for such a worthy cause.

“As a family owned and operated business, we are so proud to be supporting the incredible efforts of Make-A-Wish as they provide hope and strength to children fighting critical illness, and families, all across Australia by making life-changing wishes come true,” he said.

ULTIQA Hotels & Resorts will raise funds for Make-A-Wish through its website, where customers can opt-in to donate to the cause with each accommodation booking, and for a limited time customers can also round up their final bill with these proceeds donated to the charity.

In addition, ULTIQA Lifestyle will donate $50 from each new membership and $5 from each holiday tour conducted at any of ULTIQA’s properties, located in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Caloundra and Melbourne.

“The partnership is more than just a fundraising initiative, as we also hope to raise awareness of Make-A-Wish across our six properties,” said Mr Henry.

“We are keen to shine a light on the amazing work they do including granting wishes for children and teenagers battling with life-threatening medical conditions.”

Make-A-WishÒ has been solely dedicated to granting bespoke wishes for children and teenagers for over thirty years, with around 2,000 families affected with life-threatening diagnoses each year.

Make-A-Wish CEO, Sally Bateman, is delighted with the new partnership, saying:

“We are thrilled to partner with ULTIQA Hotels & Resorts. Make-A-Wish is only able to continue to make wishes come true thanks to the wonderful support and generosity of supporters like ULTIQA Hotels & Resorts and we are very excited to work with them.”

ULTIQA Hotels & Resorts currently has six properties under management, five in South East Queensland and one in the heart of Melbourne:
